hmm ... should work: os/laf? plus: special renderer in first column? , how achieve row striping? best show sscce demonstrates problem. – kleopatra jul 8 '12 @ 13:36
    
os:ubuntu, laf:none. no special renderer in first column. achieving row striping gradient rendering. – adityak jul 9 '12 @ 3:24
